It’s a time to reflect on the blessings we have, cherish the moments we share with our loved ones, and express gratitude for all the good things in life. We hope this thanksgiving season brings you abundant joy, peace, & happiness.
May your plates be full, your hearts be grateful, and your homes be filled with warmth and love!
Downspout and gutter cleaning are scheduled to start:
Thursday, November 2, 2023
The entire project will span 2-3 days between the hours of approx. 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
The work will involve workers clearing out leaves, debris, and small branches from all the downspouts and gutters with high pressure water. Workers will be on ladders and there may be other equipment in the walkways.
We kindly request that you exercise caution during this time and close your window blinds for privacy. We also advise removing any items from your balcony that you do not want to have overspray on.
No in-unit access will be required, but the workers may access your balconies from the outside.
If you have any questions, please reach out to The Podium office.
As the holiday season approaches, we would like to take this opportunity to remind our residents to use their garbage disposal safely. Please refrain from disposing of items such as:
rice cooked or uncooked,
fats and grease,
potato skin,
coffee grounds,
pasta cooked or uncooked,
stringy vegetables,
apples or orange peels,
oatmeal,
paper towels or napkins.
Disposing of these items can cause blockages in your kitchen plumbing, resulting in additional charges for plumbing services or maintenance personnel to clean the lines, as well as any water damage caused by backups to your unit. In case of blockage or backup outside office hours, an overtime charge will be applied.
We hope that by following these simple guidelines, you will be able to enjoy a hassle-free holiday season.
Gather around, everyone! It’s time to feast your eyes on some fun facts about November and Thanksgiving that will surely spice up your holiday season.
Did you know that November was originally the ninth month of the Roman calendar? That’s right, hence the name “November,” which comes from the Latin “novem” meaning “nine.” And speaking of the number nine, did you know that there are nine different species of turkeys in the world? Gobble, gobble, that’s a lot of turkeys!
But wait, there’s more! November is also National Peanut Butter Lovers Month, so spread the love and enjoy your favorite peanut butter treats. And when it comes to Thanksgiving, did you know that the first Thanksgiving feast lasted for three days? That’s a lot of leftovers! Speaking of leftovers, the day after Thanksgiving is known as “Black Friday,” which is the busiest shopping day of the year.
So, get ready to gobble up some fun facts and enjoy the holiday season with your loved ones.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
At our property, we value the safety and comfort of all our residents. We have recently received complaints about some tenants running, congregating, and screaming through the common hallways. Not only does this disturb the peace of other residents, but it also poses a fire safety hazard. We want to remind everyone that the common hallways are not a playground. We urge you to be respectful of your neighbors’ right to quiet enjoyment and refrain from any activities that may disturb them.
We understand the need for exercise and socializing, but there are several parks nearby that are perfect for those activities. We kindly request that you do not engage in any bicycle/scooter riding, running, ball playing, screaming, or loitering in the common hallways at any time. Remember, sounds travel easily in the hallways, so please use indoor voices.
Let’s work together to keep our hallways safe and peaceful for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
These tender pumpkin-oatmeal cookies have the perfect amount of sweetness from brown sugar and raisins and a slightly nutty flavor from almond butter. Enjoy them as an after-school snack or a healthy dessert. Several testers also said they’d love to eat them with a cup of coffee in the morning.
Ingredients
½ cup unseasoned pumpkin puree
½ cup packed light brown sugar
¼ cup unsweetened almond butter
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup oat flour
1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
1 ½ cups old-fashioned rolled oats
½ cup raisins
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine pumpkin, brown sugar, almond butter, egg and vanilla in a small bowl; set aside. Whisk oat flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and ginger in a medium bowl. Stir the pumpkin mixture into the flour mixture. Fold in oats and raisins.
Drop 10 heaping tablespoonfuls of dough about 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet. Slightly flatten, if desired. Bake until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Let cool on the pan for 3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely, about 20 minutes. Repeat with the remaining dough.
Residents can report noise complaints, parking violations, or suspicious activity to “ISC ILLYRIA SECURITY”– They can be reached after office hours between 7 PM- 5 AM through our main line option.
